Houdini & Unreal Engine Developers - Remote

We're Arkwiz, building Geos - a platform that turns GIS data into immersive 3D environments for infrastructure and construction projects. Visualizing proposed bridges, simulating flood patterns for climate planning, or modeling renewable energy installations.

Geos is fully automatic, where our Houdini and Unreal engine processes are deployed on the cloud. Our customers in the AEC industry interface with the result via ESRIs ArcGIS and pixel streaming. In addition, we deliver bespoke projects based on the same system.

We launch March 5th, 2026, and need developers who can handle both custom client projects and core platform development.

The role

Primary focus: Client project delivery. Companies hire us to visualize their infrastructure projects - you'll customize our automation systems to meet their specific needs.

Secondary: Contributing to Geos platform development as we scale the automation that powers these projects. Norway has beautiful landscapes, and based on the rich, detailed GIS data sources available to us, you’ll help us recreate that world in Unreal.

Tech stack: Houdini, Unreal Engine, Perforce, AWS cloud processing and pixel streaming, ESRI ArcGIS runtime integration.

Projects range from: Architectural visualizations, demonstrating flood simulation data, infrastructure projects, wind turbine placement and much more. Different subject matter, same core challenge: make large scale endevours understandable by placing them in their proper visual context.

How we work

2-week sprints + 1-week cooldowns - no crunch culture

Remote-first - European time zones preferred, exceptions possible

CI/CD - structured, but not bureaucratic routines for testing, review and rollout.

Small team: You'll work with Tore (founder/PM/architect), a former SideFX engineer, dedicated Houdini/Unreal developers, our API developer, plus Geodata's Norwegian dev team
